A convenient synthesis should shorten the route to understanding, not remove the need to verify consequential details.

A summary combines material and makes editorial choices about what to include. The original pages may contain exceptions, dates or context that disappear in the combined answer, especially when the question is broad.

- Compare dates and scope when sources disagree, and search directly for the official document when necessary.

An example
For a new software feature, an AI overview may explain the general idea. The product's official documentation is still the place to check availability, account requirements and supported platforms. A rollout announcement does not prove that your account already has access.
A mistake to avoid
Do not assume a cited source supports every sentence near its link. Also avoid treating a fluent answer as a complete survey of the web. Search systems and interfaces change, and different queries can surface different material.
